A course in basic applied Psychometrics

The course is aimed at psychologists understanding and using four basic psychometric concepts, as outlined in Ley (1972):
  • Probability distribution of an obtained score, implications for interpretation and clinical decision making
  • Reliability of the difference between two scores obtained from the same individual on the same occasion
  •  Abnormality of the difference between two scores obtained from the same individual on the same occasion
  • Probability of change in score on the same instrument obtained on two separate occasions
At the end of the course, students can sit an online exam (which can be resat indefinitely until a satisfactory mark is acheived).

On passing the exam students will receive a certificate stating that they studied the course and passed the exam.
